What is animal rights,
Animal rights is the philosophy/Ideology that says that animals are entitled to the possession of their own existence and that their most basic interests & they have the right to live without human’s abusive behavior.
The ideology behind the animal rights movement has evolved over millennia, but many animal activists point to the 1975 publication of Australian philosopher Peter Singer’s “Animal Liberation: A New Ethics for Our Treatment of Animals” as the catalyst for the modern American animal rights initiative.
Why is it so important, as an animal lover you may think animals don’t just deserve protection in a paternalistic way, they deserve the respect as well.
Rights are much more important than interests because rights impose a burden on others that the other parties must accept.

And another prospect of this to understand Can humans survive without animals? Unfortunately not, animals contribute to nature in ways that we will never be able to. For example, without bees, many plants and therefore our food, will not be able to be produced. Without birds, seeds will not be dispersed, and many trees will disappear.
The ultimate goal of animal rights, is to place animals “beyond use” of human beings, putting an end to exploitative action that can harm them and practices including laboratory testing, whaling, and puppy mills.
Supporters of animal rights believe that animals have an inherent worth—a value completely separate from their usefulness to humans. We believe that every creature with a will to live has a right to live free from pain and suffering.
